RIM buyout, will Samsung buy???

The recent rumours of RIM, owners of BlackBerry, thinking about selling the whole company or a part of it as a buyout has fetched a bit of attention. The latest buzz was about BRG reporting that RIM had taken there offer to Samsung which sounded tempting to many people as it would have certainly led to BBM on TouchWiz., but sadly it isn't happening Samsung and Blackberry both claim that there was no such meeting between them. Probably they don't want to tell us, the public about the failed meeting. The only reason I see for Samsung to deny the deal would be the fact that RIM is pricing the buyout at $12-15 billion which is way more than their net worth of $8 billion.
Though Samung didn't buy RIM, someone would and any operating system let it be Android, iOS or Windows, would benefit if they can port BB services to there system. If one company gets it, others will soon follow.

What to expect from CES???

The annual Consumer Electronic Show is about to kick off in Vegas and a 150,000 people are ready for it, but why this hype??? Is it for quad-core phones, for Smart 3D TVs or those unique tech stuff that one can only see at the CES???
To be frank, Android is developing faster than what consumers can cope up. There is a better phone every other week that too at the same price point. CES is usually an early pouring of all that we should expect the year round and this year the point of discussion is all about quad-core mobile devices that include phones and tablets.
In terms of Smart 3D TVs, Google TV wasn't much of a success so might expect some updated version of it or probably just proprietary software on TVs from manufacturers like Samsung, Sony and LG.
Every now then you find small companies showing off some unique tech stuff that are awesome. That can range from iPhone accessories to big giant camera equipment but these are somewhat the true beauty of the show as they are the only things that happens only in CES and no other time of the year.
So tech enthusiasts have to decide what to spend there time on in this event.

HP redefines WebOS' future

The HP WebOS saga still continues and gets a huge twist to it, they seem to throw their million dollar investment into the open source lands... They suppose that their OS would flourish in between those developers who are searching for an Android alternative. But recent decisions have proved that HP is not at all patient, so would they wait for those long years ahead that WebOS needs to compete with Android. Without patience they'll just kill the whole project even before it flourishes to become the next TouchPad in 2013, as some sources reported. All these new changes are being supervised by the new CEO and would probably lead to a bright future or maybe the death of HP.

Do companies keep their phones a bit under powered than what they are capable of???

With the concept of over clocking Android devices and rooting to get better performance out of the same hardware, arises the question that does the phone company keep your device under powered just to increase the sales of the higher model for their greed and money?? I think yes, they do play with craving for 'just that little bit more specs' and trick us into buying the higher version with specs that might just be over kill for the user.
Another classic example is when high end power houses like the Samsung Galaxy S2 be said to incompatible with games like Riptide GP... stating that it is so because of the absense of an nvidia GPU... But the same S2 can run the game flawlessly when the game is tricked into thinking its an nvidia GPU with root apps like ChainFire 3D. This got thinking and now I have arrived to the conclusion that yes, phone companies do keep there phones a bit under powered for their greed( this isn't true for every low end device that doesn't fulfil your wishes).
